I didn’t build my career around beauty. I built it inside of it.
For more than 25 years, I’ve experienced the beauty industry from almost every angle: artistry, luxury retail, education, professional skincare, territory sales, leadership, brand development, and digital strategy.
I’ve worked behind the counter and inside the boardroom. I’ve trained beauty professionals across the country, developed territories, opened accounts, coached teams, supported major brand initiatives, and led strategy across hundreds of retail locations.
Through every chapter, one thing has stayed the same: I love helping people and businesses recognize what’s possible.
That passion eventually led me to create Mimi Banasik Consulting, where I bring everything I’ve learned together to help beauty, skincare, aesthetics, and wellness businesses strengthen their brands, elevate their digital presence, create meaningful content, and build teams that know how to sell with confidence.
Today, I also continue working directly within professional skincare and aesthetics, keeping me connected to the people, products, practices, and trends shaping our industry.
Beauty isn’t simply the industry I consult in. It’s the industry I grew up in, built my career in, and still love being part of today.

It’s this unique combination of real-world experience, leadership, and passion that now fuels her work, helping beauty businesses grow, elevate, and truly thrive.
Mimi’s journey has been shaped by incredible opportunities, and today, her mission is simple: to share what she’s learned and empower others to build something exceptional of their own.
Mimi is a proud mom to her son Finn, a devoted soul-mama to Ruby, and partner to her wonderful, Gary. At the heart of everything she does is family, whether that’s traveling together, singing karaoke on the weekends, exploring art, or simply enjoying music and creating meaningful, lasting memories.
After a celebrated career as a professional makeup artist, highlighted by her final client, First Lady Jill Biden, Mimi stepped into a new chapter, bringing with her decades of experience, artistry, and business insight.
